I've just put a new gadget on my blog, a polling gadget. To encourage participation and help grow my readership I'm sponsoring my first ever blog giveaway. I'm giving away a Vogue Pattern 1205 - a fabulous dress by designer Kay Unger. This is a new pattern in size 8-10-12-14.
To enter the contest take the poll and leave a comment on this post, I'd love to hear why you'd like to have this pattern or how you would add your personal style to this dress. Maybe you have a fantastic piece of fabric in your stash that is perfect for this dress or perhaps you have creative touch that you'd like to show off using this pattern.
The contest ends on December 31st.
Good Luck
I absolutely adore this dress. It is sophisticated and appropriate a woman of any age. I really like the version with the bit of sparkle at the shoulder. I think you could really show your personality with this pattern.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy following your blog.
This is a lovely pattern i guess the style will be flattering on me. thanks for hosting the giveaway..... fingers cross....lol
ReplyDeleteSophisticated, that's the adjective I would use, I imagine the black version of the dress to a Christmas party, when you enter the room wearing it with big, sharp stiletto heels, the music stops and all revolve invest look to you ..... Dreams ...
ReplyDeleteYes, it is very sophisticated. I am imagining it full length with the contrast shoulder piece left unattached. I have a piece of burn out velvet that might do the trick.

Hi! :) Thanks so much for the follow and welcome Christiana!
ReplyDeleteI think your sewing skills are incredible. I was almost kicked out of junior high home ec class for my 'pedal-to-the-medal' approach with the machine. How you manage multiple skills I'll never know...I seem to only be able to deal with one at a time.
Hope you're having a lovely holiday!! :)
THanks for hosting giveaway
ReplyDeleteI have two weddings this summer and this would make a great dress for one of the weddings
It`s a very beautiful pattern and I have a perfect darkblue silk for this! And my husband said that this dress will fit me perfectely ... isn`t this a good reason for taking part in this giveaway?
ReplyDeleteCompliments to Your blog.
Best regards, Ruta.
I have almost gotten this pattern the past 3 times Vogue has been on sale locally. Not yet though. I think it would be fun to play with colored sheers - the ruched shoulder could be one color, and the body of the dress would be a sheer overlay that is gathered over something that perhaps is not? You could also stagger the hemline, so both would show, like Chanel did a couple seasons back.
ReplyDeleteI love this pattern! Thank you for the chance to win!

I love this pattern's unique design features. I took the poll. I love vintage patterns, but I still mostly stick with new. Thank you for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI want this pattern because I was very impressed by her other one, with the surplice bodice (what is the number, again?) so maybe she can reconcile me with mismatched shoulders, I prefer symetry, usually.
ReplyDeleteI buy new patterns mostly but am discovering the joys of Vintage lately.
this pattern would be a little outside my comfort zone, but I would love to try it. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this pattern as I have never tried a Kay Unger pattern (yet!), but I am very intrigued by her designs. I have lots of fabrics in the stash that would work for this dress!
ReplyDeleteI would love to use this pattern to make a dress for my DD. I have just the right fabrics for it! Thank you for the opportunity to win this pattern.
ReplyDeletePS: I tried to take the poll, and it wouldn't let me, even though I was already logged in to blogger.
