Pattern traced, cut and ready to sew! Yeah. After perusing the instructions, this pattern looks delightfully simple to sew. I'm still thinking about the armhole finish; I'm making the sleeveless version The instructions call for serging the edge and folding over and top stitching. I'm considering either serging some clear elastic to the edge to stabilize (before folding over and top stitching) or attempting a self fabric binding. ...thoughts?

Either method would work for the sleeves. I have made the top but not the sleeveless version. What about using the same method as the wrap part for the sleeves. Jalie instructions are good so if they suggest the serge/sew method then it must work okay.

Lovely fabric! As for your armhole finish... If the fabric is quite thin you may want to opt for the clear elastic, as it will give the armhole more stability. Try some samples on scraps and see what seems to work (feel) best.
